So I appreciate following you here.

You might want to change my blog's address. I have presently gone back to Blogger. I may choose another venue in a few weeks, but right now I don't want the hassle of developing a new one. I'll just use this venue for now.

www.mannaword.blogspot.comIris Godfreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08514316297577930499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13173725.post-7693499470797634902009-07-20T08:18:09.184-05:002009-07-20T08:18:09.184-05:00Thanks, everyone! Even tho I am, it isn't that I think the "AG way" is the be all, end all. :-) Far from it. I feel, truthfully, that whatever my future ministry role may be, it is likely not to be solely confined within the AG.

I may share more about those concerns and what they are if this actually goes anywhere. I would pastor any church that exalts Jesus Christ if given the opportunity. I'll post later when I have a bit more time about how it went yesterday.Dorcas (aka SingingOwl)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15626748280614018533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13173725.post-49095171706943275672009-07-20T04:36:19.933-05:002009-07-20T04:36:19.933-05:00I have some A/G family that could offer every reas...I have some A/G family that could offer every reason in the world as to why you shouldn't pastor a non- A/G church, or even attend one for that matter. I have heard them all. I was raised in A/G and have no quams w/them now. However, due to several variables, my husband and I are planted in a local non- denominational church. And I will add, there is nothing wrong with being so planted.

The fact that you were inclined to send a resume to the non-A/G church, tells me that you felt like it was within God's permission to do so. Regardless of the outcome, you have an opportunity to grow. Either in a new pastorate or in the open season of your ministry.

It is my sincere prayer that you continue to walk in the confidence of Jehovah Jireh's care.Sista Calahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08490376459710128024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13173725.post-68915608776058973982009-07-17T18:15:12.109-05:002009-07-17T18:15:12.109-05:00Thanks for the news, and hoping and praying for th...Thanks for the news, and hoping and praying for the right position for you!Auntie Knickershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08854138665883068803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13173725.post-63653171769176032592009-07-17T17:22:02.898-05:002009-07-17T17:22:02.898-05:00Still praying here.

However, we concluded that the only reason for him to take that particular job would be out of fear, and we don't believe that's how God wants us to make decisions. So I understand well what you are describing, and I pray that whatever the outcome, you will listen for a calling, and respond from joy, not fear.Betsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07399176212493797062noreply@blogger.com
