This Proves It!

I have always been interested in politics. I even toyed with the idea of running for office long ago and far away. Howevre, I always said I could never actually do so because I couldn't run as a Republican, and I couldn't run as a Democrat...and Independent Moderates NEVER EVER get elected.

Here's the "proof" in print.

Your Political Profile:
Overall: 45% Conservative, 55% Liberal
Social Issues: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal
Personal Responsibility: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal
Fiscal Issues: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal
Ethics: 25% Conservative, 75% Liberal
Defense and Crime: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal

No wonder I feel so conflicted when I go to the polls. I either have a split personality, am so middle-of-the-road that I'm gonna get squashed, or I am very confused! Is there a more positive explanation?

Holy Cow! You really are the "average American", aren't you?

So you are either liberal or conservative depending on who is standing next to you.

Could you email you phone number? I'd like to refer those political survey folks to you the next time they call.

Gee, S.O., I think this means you actually think about things for yourself and don't toe any party's line. I think it also proves what I've believed for a long time, that the "C" word and the "L" word are mostly in the eye of the beholder.

You're proof that moderates are not an endangered species!

Here is my profile - I'm all over the place - but on national security I'm your basic Reagan Conservative...oh, how I miss him!!!

Ah, you guys are so nice.

Q.P. I hang up on them now as it is!

Hi Sharon!

My husband says it must mean I have no strong feelings about anything...but this is NOT so! I just have strong feelings about issues on both sides of the aisle, so to speak.

Sounds like my career interest profile. Every single career choice came back with less than average interest. This test was pretty cool too. two of the issues I was 100% liberal, two of them I was 100% conservative, and the fifth was a 50/50 split.

Nightmare

If you are comfortable with paradoxes, you may be a closet Lutheran. And she says, under her breath,"__________" ha ha

I already know I have latent Lutheran tendancies. LOL! Especially today when I mailed off a letter about an issue that would NEVER have come up if I were pastoring a Luterhan church. I can't elaborate...but once in a great while I might ponder it. I did consider pastoring a Methodist church one time. What stopped me from further discussion was wondering what I would do about infant baptism. Wow...this conversation is getting deep. 8^D

Luterhan? That's just how we say Lutheran with a midwestern accent.
ROFLOL!

Funny! I have a friend who hails from near Milwaukee, and she says it's either "Lute-trins" or "Cat-lickers" in her area. (No offense intended toward either Lutherans or Catholics.)
