The Blessed Princess Trinity Ann the Smaller of Minneapolis Nigh the Big River is 20 days old. I don't get to see her for three more weeks. :-( By that time she will be reading and learning to ride a bike! ;-)
Heh heh...thanks! Me too. We are requesting at least a weekly picture, because she is changing so much already. Newborns are amazing. I don't know if I can stand not to see her for another three weeks. I may have to make an emergency trip to the Twin Cities!
When you say those things about not being able to see your granddaughter for another three weeks, it really makes me count my blessings here in that my two younger grandchildren are with me 24/7! And oh my, how much they changed day to day and I didn't even notice it then either because it was going on right before my eyes! My older grandson - now 9 years of age - when he was a baby, I maybe saw him every two-three weeks and the changes then were so astonishing to realize.
Thank goodness though for e-mail and photographs to help chart a few things you don't get to see daily or even weekly. She sure is a beautiful little girl. (Nice cat, too!)
Well it is official, she can SMILE! When she is on the changing table, I leave her eye sight for a bit. Then when I come back in view, she stares at me, and then she lights up and smiles. It isn't my voice, it is seeing me and knowing who I am. And tonight she did it for daddy when I showed him. Oh and that cat has finally decided the baby isn't leaving so she has to accept it, but she hasn't started to rub up on Tinity yet to claim her as one of her own.

"The kids" have two beautiful cats and one big dog. And one tiny baby.
Well, now it seems like it will probably be another MONTH! I can't take it. She is starting to smile a bit, Mommy says.
Ken is going through there on the way to a function somewhere else, but I won't be with him.
I have to make the trip. All there is to it. Since I can't go on the weekends I have to figure out how to do it.
I was thinking about you just last evening when I was reviewing my notebook from last summer and my many trips to your area.
Too bad I can't do a surrogate visit for you tomorrow when I drive to Mpls to pick up my youngest.
Not sure when I'll be in your state again. Maybe for my mother's birthday in Feb.

Oh my, I love these! Don't you just love being a gramma? It is the best.
