Spring Wind

It is still chilly in the north and our trees are still bare. But out back the pussy willow bush is budding, and the grass is turning green. The last few days have been warmer, but very windy. The forecast is telling us to hope for seventy degrees today! Woo Hoo!

Yesterday Trinity had her well-baby check up. Mommy tells me the doc says she is "off the chart" at thirty three inches in length. She is going to be tall like her Grandpa's family, it seems.

She loves being outside, which is just now a possibility. Here she is, out in her still-bare backyard, exulting about the rocks in her hands and the wind in her hair.

Her shirt asks, "Is it me or does this diaper make my butt look big?"

Don't'cha just love how the babies just get cuter and cuter with each passing day? And when they start moving around more, doing things and really showing their inquisitive side too, they just keep getting better and better. Awesome, is about the only word I've found to describe grandchildren, mine and others as well. Enjoy the beauty of every single awesome day with her cause there's nothing any better.

The sad part is that I don't get to see her very often. Next month, I hope. Every time I do see her she has changed a bunch! :-)

She's such a cutie, Dorcas.

Don't pay too much attention to doctors who make predictions about her height at this age - they predicted I'd be about 6 foot tall, and you know I'm nowhere near that (try 5'3")! Tall little girls often hit a roadblock at about puberty and just stop growing, so I'd say her eventual height is still well and truly a matter for you all to speculate on for many years yet. :-)
