Grey Days

I am floored by a baaad case of stomach flu. Drat!

I am managing to occasionally get out of bed today, so that is an improvment from yesterday. Maybe it is the flu, maybe it is the blasted dreary day (again) or just a combination of stuff, but today is a really sad day.
I miss my mom. I miss my sisters (both of them, the one in Heaven and the one in Georgia), I miss my dad. I miss Josh, who we haven't seen since Christmas, I miss poor, sweet "little" Rex, I miss my friend Much 2 Ponder, I miss my church family, I miss having a sense of purpose in each day.
Waaah! Feeling like Alice up there in the pool of tears.
Something has GOT to change. A change in the weather would be a good start, God. Just sayin'.

(((Hugs))) to you, SO. May this gloom of weather and heart pass soon, and in the meantime may you feel God at your side. Wish I could send you a pick-me-up lunch of some really good Mexican food!

You miss REX, Really? But seriously, I think I can empathise here and I am sorry for all that you are dealing with. Just so you know...much2ponder misses you too and by the way, blonds do have more fun! We need to have some fun together:) For some reason it seems impossible for that to happen. I love you

Low energy weather for sure. And it is darn hard to feel warm enough, even if the thermometer in the living room says it is warm enough. Nothing to do outside when it is cold, rainy, windy, and grey. We need an energy transplant, a sun transplant, or a trip to Mexico.

Oh nooooooo....! Sounds like you've got that horrific stomach flu that has been up in Ottawa all winter. Thinking when you're that ill is like thinking alone in the dark at 2:00 a.m. Very little looks good. I pray you are over the worst of it and on the mend. Things will most certainly start getting better! (((Dorcas))) love, Maureen

Must be in the wind, SO. I'm missing Mom so very much tonight. She'd already have her potatoes planted and the yard mowed twice with the nice weather we've had the past week. Hubster started talking about the tomatoes and the BLTs she used to make for us at dinner tonight, and I've been weepy ever since.

I do hope you feel better. Stomach flu is the worst. Be gentle with yourself, and with your tummy for a bit. Prayers are going up for you, and cyber-hugs are sent your way!

Oh, dear! SO sorry about the flu, and the grayness of the day, and the missing of loved ones. Wish I were close-by to give you a hug.

So sad about Rex. As you know, I'm grieving for a four-footed companion, too, so I'll be sure to pray for you and Josh as well.

Do so hope you feel better soon. Nothing nastier than stomach flu, especially in grey weather. I expect you feel in limbo right now, its not a nice feeling, but your life WILL soon take on a shape that you will find is God's shape for you.

And I know how badly you can miss a doggy companion. Been there!

TNQR Rev--how ARE you? Glad to "hear" from you? Thanks, Betsy! It would do me a world of good to sit at a S.Cal. Mexican place with you, I have no doubt! Ah, if I were wealthy I'd hop on a plane! M2P ((((hugs to you))))). And here's hoping for sunnier days in all respects. PS, I'm for the Mexico trip. See what I said to Betsy. Ha! Zorra, I also wish I could visit the Texas Episcopalians! I am realizing lately just how many of my blogging buds are Episcopalian! Strange. But I will think of you, and Rev. Dr. Mom, and Rachel at "The Big Dunk" and Cathy and Mary Beth....and more...next week. Maureen, if that is the case I wish your Candadins had kept this bug to yourself. I am improved today, thank goodness. Not well, but better. Whew. Chris, I was just thinkinf of you, actually. I hope you are doing okay. I wouldn't wish my mom back for anything, especially not as she was the last two years, but that doesn't mean I don't miss her. ((((Chris))))) Psalmist, I have been praying for you too, and I'm glad you found a new kitty. Gilly, I do feel "in limbo" and I do not like it! And I so hope that what you say is correct. Everyone seems to think that--and I wish I was totally confident about it! Thanks for thoughts and prayers.

Zorra, sorry I put you in the Anglican camp by mistake. That's cause most of my blog buds are Episcopalian. Of course, those that aren't are mostly Presbys or Methodists..lol. Regardless, I'd still love to visit.

Glad you are heading in the right direction. Realized after posting that the comment about the Mexican food was missing a piece, namely: wishing that you were feeling good enough for a lunch like that to help your mood!

Hey there,
the whole family got hit with the flu this week! It was not a good thing, thank God Jeff was gone and missed Sunday exposure at the cottage.
It's funny (weird) that you are sad about missing the church family, I was praying for you this week and flat out told God that I miss you!
