My mother (92nd birthday is in January) has pnuemonia. I've spent most of today at the nursing home with her. She is occasionally awake, but not much. She cannot talk and cannot swallow, so I believe her time is very short. She saw my daughter, Kris, today, and sweet little Trinity who climbed up on the bed and gave "Grandma-Mommy" a kiss. Three others who love her dearly were able to come in today and be with her. I'm very tired, and feeling sick with a cold, so am off to bed. I am supposed to preach tomorrow, and I have a wedding coming up...ah, God knows all these things. Please pray with me for a peaceful homegoing for my precious little mother. Thank you.
Update: After a long night and day, she went home to the Lord this afternoon. The funeral will be in Texas.

Keeping you in prayer. Knowing it won't be easy for you, but that God will see you through. Hugs, my friend.
Most certainly your mother -and you -will be in thoughts and prayers as you wend your way down this road. A year ago, my family and I were on the same path with my Dad's "baby" sister. Her journey home began in the week just prior to Christmas and finally came to an end on April 26th, four days after her 91st birthday. Though I am relieved that my aunt is no longer suffering, that her mind is now clear again, the void is still there, still raw, especially true around the holidays which my kids and I had become accustomed to observing with her. Peace.
Prayers for you, your family and your sweet Mama.

I just saw this after sending you an email about a happy personal situation. Oh my, how hard, but also, I know that you are glad for her to be safe in the Savior's arms at last. I WILL keep you all in my prayers.
