In Memory

Leta Viola Burson Norman
Born: January 25, 1917
Died: December 28, 2008

On the back deck with the flowers, a place she dearly loved. This was about three years ago.

At her "Texas Birthday Party" -- 90 years!

At Trinity's dedication, with the family.

In September. She couldn't talk and rarely smiled, but a visit from Trinity always made her smile.

May God grant that she rest in peace and rise in glory.

May God keep you and yours in the palm of God's own hand as you plan and prepare the next few days. May God grant you strength and wisdom and most of all may God grant you peace.

Oh, SO, my phone 'dinged' while we were on the road coming home, and when I saw that the email was yours, I knew your Mom had gone Home, where pain is ended and joy is forever.

Words are so very inadequate. I know you must be rejoicing that she is finally free of all the earthly junk, but the hole in your heart will be huge after reality settles in.

We've become sisters in the loss of our moms, only one short month apart. Feel free to use my shoulder any time!

I've been thinking of you all day. I read the post of your mom last night and wondered how things were going.

Prayers for continued peace and strength in the coming days.

My heart hurts with yours. It is so crushing to loose a Mom -- at any time and in any circumstances. I know our Lord Is holding you and yours.

Although it was 29 years in October since my Mom passed (from the horrible colo-rectal/liver/spleen cancer) and I knew then it was definitely for the best for her, I still miss her greatly. Rarely does a day go by that I don't think of what she might think of things today, how proud she would be to see how well my children turned out, how wonderful and exciting my grandchildren are and how much she would have loved them and that's just for openers.
I know you expected this now but regardless of the circumstances, the loss is still there of the person who once was such a huge part of our lives. My condolences to you, your family, as you begin the healing process. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I loved the pictures. They brought back great memories. I loved Leta so much, and to see those pictures of her brought me great joy and sadness at the same time. She truly has touched my life and she will always be remembered! She made an impact more in my life than she ever really knew. Even I didn't realize the impact she made until she was gone. I loved that women of God so much because of the Faith she had was so deep. I’m glad that Leta was apart of my life :)
